No. Since 2015, Alaska law doesn't require them (AS 09.65.087). That law protects people who use an AED, and owners, from liability. Manufacturers still recommend checking it regularly. Travis can do the checks for you monthly, quarterly or once a year, and keep the record. $25 per inspection in Sitka, whatever schedule you pick. Outside Sitka, travel is billed at cost.
