Travis
Miller
Travis Miller has spent over 25 years in fire service and emergency management across Southeast Alaska. From volunteer firefighter to Fire Chief at Gustavus Fire Department, and later Health and Safety Officer at Sitka Tribe of Alaska, he built his career around keeping people safe when it counts.
Island Fire and Safety grew out of a simple observation: Sitka needed reliable, local safety training and services.
Today Travis teaches HSI-certified CPR and first aid, sells and services AEDs, and is building out fire extinguisher inspection services for Sitka businesses. Everything runs local. No third-party middlemen, no generic content, no waiting for mainland providers.
From Sitka CPR to Island Fire & Safety
What started as Sitka CPR — focused entirely on CPR and first aid training — grew into Island Fire & Safety to reflect the fuller range of services now available: AED sales and programs, fire extinguisher services, workplace safety training, and more. The mission hasn't changed, just the scope.
Island Fire and Safety exists because the need is there. Required training, AED programs, fire extinguisher services. All of it available locally, done right, by someone who lives here.
Sitka is a small community. When you need something, you should be able to call a local number and talk to someone who knows the area. That's what this is.
